Good question! Both can be equally intense I think depending on circumstances, but love tends to linger, and hate tends to fade, at least for me.

Love and hate are two sides of the same coin, we love something we value very highly, we hate it if it can't be dominated.
Hate is an emotion needed in order to wage war. It's a tool for warriors. So is love.

In my opinion, love and hate are the opposites behind the motivation of passion. They can be felt equally. But is hate the opposite of love? No, I don't think so. Apathy, or the lack of caring is in fact the opposite of both hate and love.

personally I prefer love. hate destroys while love allows each of us to develop a more positive caring attitude towards others. if we love we are emulating the feelings THE DEITY have for us and thus we are actually doing something good instead of evil.

i dont feel hate for anyone .. i may feel upset or sad but not hate
but when i love ... that is awsome
when something touches my heart ... when something makes me well up with tears
