If you are using Yahoo Mail, click on the subject to open the e-mail.
You will probably be taken to a window which, if you look at the bottom, will show the name of the attachment. You are given the option to "preview" or "scan and save to computer."
If you do not have the program with which it was written, click "preview" to read it. If you do, select "scan and save." You will indicate where to save, give it a filename, and select a type.
Usually only takes a few seconds if it is not too large.

A file sent via an email is called an attachment. You can open attachments by double-clicking on the little icon next to the attachment's filename. You can also right-click on the icon and choose which program to open the attachment with, if you want to specify a specific program to open it.

Usually there will be an icon of some sort that you click on for the attaqchment. This will give you the option to open or save the attached file. Usually you will want to save the file.
Once the file is save, and go to that file and doubleclick it to open the file. You will have to have the program it uses installed on your computer, of course.

You should be able to click on your attachment and open it, unless the file is sent in a format that you don't have a program for.
good luck

Download the file, check it for viruses, then open it just like any other file on your computer.
