Congratuations!
Depends on what your preferences are. I like many color combos and since you aren't quite in the thick of the spring, but not in winter either you can really go with anything. The colors can set the mood of the wedding, so go with something that represents your personality.
Navy blue & light blue... works very nicely together.
Chocolate brown & pink accents
Platinum & Blue
Black, White, Red (these are my colors for Sept)
Purple & Silver
Lilac & Yellow

These colors sound nice together. You have to do what you and your to be husband are wanting, don't let anyone else try to tell you otherwise. Ivory and black are very classy. You could use maroon or any deep red or just a classic red as small accent color a few in the flowers and in the center pieces. Just a touch here and there. Good Luck and Best Wishes!

It really depends on what time of day you are getting married. If it's a day wedding you could easily go with nice "easter" colors, pastels bright colors. If it's an evening wedding i would suggest some more formal colors, like red, blue green....
Good luck

Why not pick your colors based on what color looks best on all of your bridesmaids? Trust me, your wedding will look a lot better, regardless of the color, if all of your bridesmaids look good.
Too many brides pick colors before seeing dresses, and so the bridesmaids are stuck wearing a very unflattering color that washes out their skin. Then they aren't happy, and they'll be pains to deal with, and they also won't look good in your pictures.

My wife and I went to a wedding last April of some close friends. They chose black and white as the wedding colors.
I know - but it was stunning!!!!
The bride of course wore a white gown and the groom a black suit. The bridemaids all wore jet black gowns and the best man and crew all wore white suits.
The effect was dazzling when combined with the black and white flowers and decorations in the church and the reception hall.

Too early for pastels, too late for the heavy colors of fall or the whites/blues of the christmas season. Pick what your favorite color is and find a variation appropriate for the season. Say if its pink then do a rose color rather than a baby pink or deep magenta.

A pale yellow would be a pretty color for spring. Or maybe a nice vibrant turquoise. I hear turquoise is going to be a popular color for wedding parties this year. Lavender was the hot color last year.
