i don't mean sour, or expired milk, worse than that. i mean when i drank this the taste was the most horrific thing i've ever experienced, plus it was like bubbly

two hours later i had a sore throat, the next morning i had a 102 degree fever, and now i still have a fever and every part of my body hurts. no stomach problems at all though, so its not food poisoning

No.

You don't have to have stomach problems for it to be food poisoning, especially if the bacteria toxin is emetic (causes vomiting).

You only had a fever, and no other flu symptoms, and fever is a general indication that your body's immune system is fighting against invaders, and the elevated cytokine levels then result in fever.

A sore throat might have meant that the bacteria (should be the case if it's spoilt milk) got under your cells lining the throat (and exposed), and caused that sore throat.

Fevers and sore throats can be caused by bacteria too, as well as body aches (that commonly accompany high fevers).
If the milk however, was drunk by someone who DOES have the flu, there's a possibility of transmission.

Otherwise, no.

Even if you do have a flu, i doubt it's because of the milk.

It could be because you came directly/indirectly in contact with someone who has it, or something that a flu patient has come into contact with.

I haven't caught a cold or flu in 7+ months.

Coincidentally I've been vegan for 7+ months.

and I used to get colds or flus at the drop of a dime.

(as well as ear infections and the whole 9 yards)...
so, I've postulated it, but it's hard to show evidence without doing an entire study!!!

i've slept in the same bed for 3 days straight with someone who had just come down with a cold and not gotten sick!!!

I used to get colds very easily(1-2 per month), and my quality of life has improved since I went vegan (no dairy/meat/fish products).

Feel better!!!!
I'd stay away from milk if I were you ;-)
soy milk and almond milk are great alternatives, and generally, are enriched with the same vitamins. ^_^

i would imagine it takes a number of days for any virus to incumbate in your body ..so i do not think it was the milk that turned on you, but i could be wrong...you get the flu from coming in contact withthe virus that causes the flu either airborne or on a surface and you touch you mouth, nose, or eyes without washing your hands.

on the flu is passed on by contact with somoeone who has it and also it's airbourn also when it goes around if you drank bad milk and have an upset stomach it mostly likely is a mild case of food poisoning.

I think you got a bad case of " STUPIDITY"!!!!!
What on earth would make you drink some bubbly milk? Are you crazy or just thirsty?

This is bacterial, not viral action. I have never heard of the flu virus being transmitted in beverages.

Somebody else sick might have drunk it before you. Or it was tainted milk. Thank god I don't drink milk! I hope you're ok.
