so heres what i did yesterday, I stayed awake till suhur (about 4 am where i live), ate, prayed and slept till 3 00 p.m, woke up and broke my fast at 6 00 pm. sweet or what?

I also did like you but did not sleep - I worked in office and felt no trouble. Besides worship, fasting is good for health also. When you feel hungry you will feel that how poor hungry people leading their life keepng hungry, thrusty, so you will try to do some help for them. Not only in muslim, Jessus (Issa Alahesalam) also advised his followers to give food to hungry. Nothing gain can be obtained without pain.

So whatever you feel for fasting at Ramadan is always sweet !

I know this can be coman practice stay up all night while you can eat and sleep all day but it does defeat the whole point Allah will not be pleased

I did that the first day of Ramadan and I felt very sick with myself. I don't know...Couldn't handle it. But I did exactly the same.

Somehow, like Lent in Catholicism, I don't think the idea is to cheat. It's supposed to be about devotion to God. If you don't want to devote, or don't have the devotion to God in your heart, then why observe it at all?

you missed the amazing feeling that most Muslims feel when they perform such an amazing worship
you spend all your day sleeping only not to be hungry
