What would keep you going if you were stranded on an island?

In the movie, Tom Hanks' character's main motivation for living was to see Helen Hunt's character again.
My question was what would be your motivation to keep living and get off the island

Southpaw, that's my dream. I'd give years off my life to be stranded on a desert island.
Edit: Just being there would be my motivation to live, and I would never want to leave it.

I would be busy trying to escape. I am not a people person, not having people around to talk to does not really bother me.. If I could not escape... I would die.. Not having the Internet is like taking a food source away from me. I would die of information starvation.

Contemplation and creativity. I have always enjoyed time alone and for me the deserted island scenario would be less stressful than for someone who requires constant noise and distraction.

Knowing that someone loves you is what keeps everyone going, or at least believing someone does.
If you thought no one cared what happened to you and everyone hated you, would you want to live? I think not.
Love keeps us going.
