Apparently people who firmly believe in the book of revelation are encouraging wars by giving financial backing for weapons or political backing. They believe by doing this it will bring all the atrocities in the book of revelation forward and they will go to paradise. How much impact do you think these people have had in world affairs over the last 10 years?

I firmly believe in Revelation, but I believe that it will happen when it is time and doesn't need help from me. I am not looking forward to what happens during "tribulation" and personally, I hope that I am dead before it happens. I surely wouldn't want to encourage all those horrible things to happen -- let alone help them along. Some people are just nuts Christian or non-Christian. I think if I had that kind of money, I'd find something constructive to do. But it would be interesting to have a source to read about those people who are financially backing wars to be able to go to Heaven sooner. I really don't think they have much impact, because "it" will not happen before God allows it to happen. He will not be rushed and persuaded to do anyone's will.

GW bush is in their pockets... i imagine he believes he is on divine mission. anyway, all politics concerning the middle east have been as result of GW bush...as well as the US pulling out of any envirnomental agreements, and the total insult they've been paying the UN because they believe that the UN will be the platform of the antichrist.
the reason for the environment is because major natural disasters are part of the prophecy and so by damaging the environment, it will bring the prophecy forward... besides, they say, it is nearly the end of times so why bother....
the most wierdest thing about them is that they believe that the rapture will be a bunch of christians suddenly disappearing, because they are such good people, namely themselves... in fact they are so good they are damaging the environment and actively persuing war and death, and fully expect it to be nuclear.
if you can explain the logic of that i'll be impressed!!!! :)

Why do you think Bush attacked Iraq, the descendent of Babylon?
These people are trying to play God. It's frightening because they're bringing about the end of many peoples' worlds (Iraqi civilians, Lebonese civilians).

Anyone who encourages war will probably not make it to Heaven.

Salaam/ peace:
- actually - this is a misinterpretation and manipulation of religion - it has nothing to do with pure religion which focuses on saving lives - not killing people.

None. Because it is not our time but God's. And no one knows when the trumpet will be blown and Jesus will return.
We obviously can effect events, but we can not change what will ultimately happen, in God's time and in God's way.
