i have a guy friend who courted me back in high school. i turned him down because we were good as friends and i was afraid that if we get into a relationship, there's a possibility that our friendship will be ruined. but after i turned him down we started avoiding and not talking to each other. then did i realize what a great loss he was. Now, 3 years after a common friend of ours tells me that i'm still the one he wants and that he's planning to break up with his current girlfriend so he could try it again with me. i don't know what to do... please help!

Until you hear this news directly from the guy in question, I wouldn't do anything. If nothing comes of this, you will have worried yourself to death over nothing. This kind of information from a common friend is not the same as it coming straight from the source.
Did you realize that you'd lost a great friend or a potential boyfriend? Either way, I would wait until he approached me. But, if you decide to go ahead and contact him make sure you know what your intentions are. Invite him to LUNCH; dinner implies too much. Sit and catch up with one another. If you renew a friendship, he should understand that. If you're going to pursue him romantically, make sure all the dust has settled from his current relationship. Good luck.

If I regretted turning him down in the past, he decides to split up with his current girlfriend for me and I feel some sparkles when I see him, I will give him a chance to make it happened what could turn out to be a long love story.

The friendship, love and relationship are all different thought of the mind . U r not clear till now about your friend. please know mind of your friend. Friend and people who loves u r always prepared to suffer and u r waste to live without them. The friendship and love are selfless. The relationship is selfish and not desirable. If the relationship is built on strong foundation of love and friendship then u r Lucky to have best of the life.

there is nothing you can do he obviously wants to break up with this other girl and find out if he can get back with you. If you do not have feelings for him then by all means let him know this for sure. Because maybe he just needs to know this. Good Luck hope this helped.

you have to be fair to him, if you don't have seen him recently and still know him and you feel that you're not interested in him romantically then let him know asap. If you haven't seen him in those 3 years then I feel it's time 4 you two to meet up again and get to know each other for who you two are now. Your feelings could change. If you're in love with someone else and are with them then you should get to him quickly and let him know you're happy with someone else and if he cares for his girlfriend to stay with her.
You might need time to think about this. I wouldn't do anything too quickly. you probably should meet up with him again but let h im know it's not a date, jus getting reintroduced.

ask yourself first do u love him or not? after that 3 years. If you do, go with it but if not and you only want him to be your friend, explain it to him. I think if you love him and try to be lovers, theres nothing wrong with it.

Well, i think i can help you or at least i will try.
I think, if he is going to break up with his current g/f and you know it, then do something about it.
If you like him, then wait til he breaks up with her, then yall can go out.
If you dont like him, go up and ask if he is really planning to do that, if he says he is and you dont like him, explain to him that he shouldnt do that.

do u like him?....thats what it depends on....he's going to break up with his girlfriend as he's still in love with u....it might sound nasty, but he is just with her to pass the time as its u that he's in love with.....give it a try u have nothing to loose as you's did loose contact...

if you don't see him that way, then there's nothing esle you can do. you can't stop him from liking you. just turn him down again. hopefully he'll realize that he has to move on
