There are a few ways to do this. Here are a couple that I know of. . .

It seems a bit crazy but,
1. Mouse Traps
I've seen it done and it does work without serious pain to the dog. (depending on the size of your dog) You simply set traps a foot or two apart and leave them on the couch, chair or bed, etc. If your dog jumps onto the couch... SNAP! If the trap doesn't actually snap onto a foot or her tail, the loud SNAP will startle her massively. It may take a few weeks for her to realize that if she jumps on the furniture she's going to get SNAPPED or be seriously startled by it.

2. Plastic Pet Deterrent Mats
These are made specifically to keep your pet either off your furniture or away from a window, etc. They come in different sizes for different areas of use. Ya know how the underside of the floor mats for cars have little points that stick out for the mat to grab onto the carpeted car floor? That is exactly what these mats are like. They really do work. You could check out your local pet supply store to see if they have them. I know some of the mail order catalogs have them.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!

There is a product at Pet Smart and it is called "NO GO". It works very well and doesn't cause any stains or damage to wood or fabric. It will keep them off the furniture and also stop them from using the floor as a bathroom. It is in a pump spray bottle and cost about $10 and worth every penny. I have used it for years. You have to re- mist the furniture about every week until they have stop the habit.

Their is this great invention called a "Scat Mat" Is is an electronic pad that when it is stepped on delivers a low voltage shock. Place it in front of or on the couch. He wont get on the couch again! I used it to keep my dogs from jumping on the window. Works great!

The simple answer is push her off. The actual answer is to train her not to get on the furniture.
