The calculation I give my clients is 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight it pounds. So if you weigh 130 pounds you should drink about 65 ounces of water, which is about 1/2 gallon. Depending on your activity level, that can increase. I am 240 pounds and drink well over 1 gallon per day. It is only toxic when you are not eliminating the water (urinating). Keep drinking your water and don't worry about toxicity.

For drinking About 72% of the fat free mass of the human body is made of water. To function properly, the body requires between one and seven litres of water per day to avoid dehydration; the precise amount depends on the level of activity, temperature, humidity, and other factors. Most of this is ingested through foods or beverages other than drinking straight water (hot tea being often used in deserts to avoid dehydration, etc.) It is not clear how much water intake is needed by healthy people. However, for those who do not have kidney problems, it is rather difficult to drink too much water, but (especially in warm humid weather and while exercising) it is dangerous to drink too little. People can drink far more water than necessary while exercising, however, putting them at risk of water intoxication, which can be fatal. The "fact" that a person should consume eight glasses of water per day cannot be traced back to a scientific source.[6] There are other myths such as the effect of water on weight loss and constipation that have been dispelled.[7]

A shower, used to wash the human body. The latest dietary reference intake report by the US National Research Council recommended (including food sources): 2.7 litres of water total for women and 3.7 litres for men.[8] Water is lost from the body in urine and feces, through sweating, and by exhalation of water vapor in the breath.

If you mean you drink that much alcohol, then yes and get some help. If you mean water, just watch your sodium and potassium levels. If you mean milk, yes, we can't process that much protein. If you mean soft drinks, then it depends on how much water you drink. If you drink about a gallon of water a day, it will flush out your kidneys so that the soft drink won't harm you. Here again, what the sodium and potassium levels.

Drinking quite a bit of water is necessary if one is losing weight. The ideal is to drink half your weight in ounces of water. If you weight is 200 pounds, then you should drink 100 ounces or about 3 liters. If you run or exercise, then you should drink more.

If you weighed 100 pounds, that might be excessive. It depends on your weight as to what too much might be. 1 gallon doesn't seem to be excessive from my point of view.

If I can be of further assistance, let me know.

Assuming it's water we're talking about, not at all, it's a healthy amount. Water doesn't hurt the liver.
