Tell it no and gently tap its paws. It will then associate the word no with something a little unpleasant. My two cats know what 'no' means and are better behaved than some kids! The vet recommended to us that we use a water pistol but we couldn't bring ourselves to do that...

The first thing you need to implement is play time before bed. About 20 minutes worth of good play should tire kitty out. Some kittens will play for longer, some shorter, you're going to have to experiment until you know what your kitten's tolerance level is.
To train a kitten out of attacking fingers and toes....first, NEVER play with a kitten with either your hands or your feet. To do so only makes them associate hands and feet with play time. If she attacks your appendages, say "Ouch!" and stop playing. Substituting a toy for either is also a good idea.
Some other things that work are spraying him/her with water from a bottle or squirt gun whenever an attack on the hands or feet occurs. Hissing at them can also work. These aren't cruel, just a way to help them associate a bad experience with an an undesirable behavior.
That being said, if he/she is attacking your feet when they're under the blankets, it's simply because something's moving under there. Our adult cats attack our feet under the blankets, and this doesn't bother me since they don't KNOW it's our feet. If the kitten is keeping you up, start trying to train her to sleep in her own bed on the floor somewhere. Just pick her up and put her in it when she's being rambunctious while you're trying to sleep.
And don't expect your kitten to "just grow out of it". I'm sure some cats do this, but it's best not to take the chance because some cats DON'T. And having a full grown cat attacking you is quite a bit differnet (not to mention much more painful) than a kitten.
Good luck!

my kitten was always allowed to sleep on my bed. i would usually wake up to find him laying across my neck, after a night of pouncing me, my husband and invisible bugs. he is a little over a year old now and doesnt do that anymore. But when he would, usually a good flick to the nose would stop him. water in a squirt bottle can work as well, as long as your kitten doesnt like water; unlike mine who readily jumps in the shower. but if the kitten gets out of hand and wont respond to water or flicking, another way to get him to stop (this sounds cruel but its not), is to put cayenne pepper on your fingers and let it get a mouthful. may take a few times but the kitten will learn.
just make sure that it has plenty of toys, and WHATEVER you do DO NOT play with the kitten with you fingers. if you do that then the kitten will not grow out of it and will automatically associate fingers and toes as play-things. and that wil be a big problem if you have kids.

Animals respond to your tone of voice. It will take time but just say "No!" or Growl loudly. Just as the mother cat would if baby played too rough!
Good luck! Cat love hunting those evil toes under the rugs!

I dint' think you can, you just have a lovely playful kitty. What you should be doing is teaching kits to sleep in its bed on the floor. Says me who's cat sleeps on my feet. My cat will chase after my fee when she wants to play. maybe last night kits was over playful and couldn't hold of the urge any more. You might want to try picking kits up and putting it on the floor every time he does it during the night or when you don't want him to and say no. Our cat is like a child and gets away with more than our actual kids........... good luck.

Well, first of all, kittens are very very energetic and active. They would play alot of times. Just remember, to discipline him once you see him do something that you think it isn't good. Don't worry if your cat is scared, Just tell him that it is no good for you to do that. Later on you can play with him again!
hope that helped

There a dvd out out about training kittens, you leave it playing when you leave the house and when you return they are as good as gold. Its by the same people that produced, train your goldfish ice skating and the all time classic , So you want you dog to do the Riverdance.
(Good one , cats dont like water, well blow me !)

get used 2 it! my little siamese angel is 11 mths old and we get that treatment every night and mornin, i usually get tapped under my chin as well, i tell her NO, but it makes no difference so i always end up just laughin at her. the only way 2 stop it if u dont like it is keepin her out of ur room at night, but then she will probably shout at u on the other side of the door til u let her in, we get that as well.

the best way to stop it from doing this and other common problems i.e scratching, biting is by using a water pistol.
any time it starts doing any of these things just give it a little squirt of water and it will soon stop!it doesnt hurt her but cats hate water so has a really good effect.

i had the exact same problem. i think its their way of getting your attention. my kitten did it for food or just he wanted to wind you up so you rough play with him. eg rubbing their tummy hard.
i know it can get annoying but he will grow out of it like mine has its just them trying to get your attention. they cant meow as well untill they are older so they use other methods ie bitting toes.
just take time to learn to predict your kitten is going to want something.
