Keep taking French classes. Go to France or French Canada during the summer or for an academic exchange for a year. Rent French movies (with English subtitles). That should make it fun.

Find someone who you can practice with. If you are taking a class then find an individual in the class that you can speak with. I took French way back and the reason I have not used it is because I didn't follow my own answer to you. GL

The best possible thing you can do is to visit the country and spend some time speaking to French people. If this is not possible though, which is understandable, try audio tapes in the car. Speak along to them. You hear the pronunciation correctly then and it seems to sink in well.

go to your local bookstore and buy french conversational tapes/CDs and play them daily. just let them play in the background to sink in your subconscious. getting the language in you is the first step and establishing an audio routine is the best way to do it
second, go on the internet and find a french-speaking penpal.
third, get a job and save up some money for a learning holiday in france. (travelling french course in france).
fourth (i don't trust myself on this one, but you can try it if you're really serious), date a francophone

Listen to older (slower) French music which will hopefully have the lyrics included that you can translate. This will help you separate the words and work on the accent.

Bonjour!
Everything that had be said before is pretty right... I just heard another way to learn a language but I don't know if it really works... Actually you have to buy tapes and listen to it while you are... asleep!
It is often said that secret agents learn languages this way!
Bon courage...
