OK strange question and I think you may be worried about they way you and your partner sleep and does it mean anything.
The answer to that is NO however there are a lot out there that say different and if you sleep back to back relationship is in trouble etc DO NOT LISTEN if you love your partner and everything is OK then it makes no difference how you sleep well it should not.
We always face one another, holding hands however when we wake up we are apart. Sometimes I go to bed first and already asleep it does not mean we do not love one another or any problems. The important thing is always kiss and say goodnight never go to sleep on an argument. No you do not need to sleep with an arm on your partner unless you are worried he is going to stop breathing in the night!

I go to bed long before my man cos he works until the late hours. However I always wake when he comes to bed. We cuddle up and then doze off together and turn away from each other. Cant have a good nights sleep if we touch too much, and cant stand him breathing on my face. But what is nice, is his belly in the small of my back. Nice and warm and snuggly. Probably a very personal thing to say, but it makes me happy.

I sleep facing away from my wife she has a bad back and has a body pillow to prop herself up in a comfortable position. I will sleep with an arm on her when I need comfort and she will do the same as well.

When we go to bed we will snuggle for a bit, but when it comes to serious sleep time we will usually face away from each other, but when I wake up, he is always facing the back of my head with his arm around me and his leg on me (personally I can feel a bit suffocated sometimes-but sometimes i will turn over and hug him.) I dont think it has a bearing on anything, its just how you are comfortable.

I sleep best on my side facing away from my girl with no touching, i hate it when she breaths on my face and I cant sleep like that.
I like to cuddle with her before I sleep and sometimes fall asleepwith my arm around her but in the main I like my own space to drift off, touching just keeps me awake.

I have to move around a lot but i start facing away from my partners side of the bed. however i come to bed earlier than him so by the time he comes to bed i'm facing him or on my back. i think mostly its a comfort thing but some people do read a lot into it.

My hubby and I both sleep on our sides, facing away from each other - because he snores so badly! I find an arm underneath me really uncomfortable - it's lovely to snuggle to but I can't sleep like that.

I initiate the nite off by dozing on my lower back, as does my important different, often times we are able to cuddle up at the same time, relies upon what mood we are in or how warmth it truly is, different nights we are able to sleep with our acks to at least one yet another. and infrequently if i'm suffering to sleep, i visit positioned one urm below the pillow one arm over my ear to objective to dam noise out, in no way works like so merely finally end up cuddling him or elbowing him in ribs

We always like to have contact, maybe just our legs touching or his hand on my shoulder. My partner tosses and turns many times during the night and I follow, or he does, but mainly we sleep snuggled curled up together
