don't get me wrong. I'm not judging or anything. I just want to know how do you pentecostal girls play sports while wearing skirts? and what do you wear when you go swimming? I'm just wondering. I'm not pentecostal but I am not restricted to my religion. for me learning about other religions will help my understanding more.

It's because the pentecostals I know are taught that they should always wear skirts. I find it hard. I'm a girl and I've worn skirts and it's really hard to move around wearing it.

This is a question I have been asked since I was 6, long before I found those who are of the Pentecostal faith. I participated in P.E. in a skirt or split skirt all my life. I even rode the horses in a skirt. I climbed the monkey bars at recess in a skirt, and only once did someone try to look up my skirt. When you have always worn skirts you play sports just like you would if you only wore pants or shorts.
For myself I wear a split skirt while swimming, and I don't go to the city pool. I have one that works just fine in my back yard.

I wasn't raised pentecostal, but I was raised wearing skirts all the time. Slacks were forbidden for girls. (as well as cut hair, jewelry, makeup, dancing, TV etc.) In school we didn't do mixed sports. When I rode my bike I had a skirt on. If I climbed a tree -- same. Hiking, swimming ( mixed swimming is forbidden. Only girls can swim together -- in a skirt ) I often asked my mother if wearing skorts wouldn't be more modest, and only got in trouble for my logic. I don't belong to that religion any more. The scripture they use for not wearing slacks is found in Deuteronomy 22:5, which of course is part of the law. Which I don't understand -- what about the rest of the law? They claim that Jesus fulfilled the law, so we aren't bound by it any more. But If you follow one part of the law, shouldn't you obey the rest of it -- like the one about wearing tassels on the four corners of you clothes, not wearing silk and linen together or eating meat and milk at the same meal or ham and scavengers ( like shrimp) ? That's why I don't follow the religion that I grew up in -- too many unresolved questions. And if you question the logic, you are going to hell. No questions are allowed. Just obey. And that is the truth of why some women only wear skirts.

Fairly easy, I asked the same question myself when I first rode bikes with a skirt, but it was actually the same thing. (I prefer to wear short skirts though) But other than that its just like wearing shorts, It feels no different (well a little breezee here and there). I got used to it already and now I feel weird when i wear jeans. U can play anything but make sure that the skirt is not too tight (u dont want it to break)

We don't always wear skirts! Some girls don't like skirts! I don't do skirts much unless i go to church! We wear shorts or pants and play the sport we choose!

not all pentecostal girls wear dresses...i am pentecostal and I have on jeans and a t-shirt today!!! It just depends on what kind of pentecostal you are talking about. Now, women that my mom goes to church with, some of them are older and they believe in wearing dresses ...apparently they thought that was a way to keep them "Holy" but if you search in the bible...it never states what kind of clothes to wear....that is just some kind of tradition that they started a long time ago.....Good luck in your quest.

They don't; you obviously don't know very many Pentecostal girls. They have legs like everyone else, and yes they wear pants and even sometimes jeans! Just not the low-rise kind that show everything but their "public hair."
For swimming personally I've always preferred a one-piece that covers enough to be decent; why show off my love handles and cellulite to anyone I don't have to? But that's just me.

I think short skirts, coz you show off more feet, but really it doesn't matter both goes great

Today, most of the biblical dress codes are practiced while in church; so they do not pertain to sports activities.
