I am 51 years old, but look and act much younger. The problem is, my 37 year old BF is a couch potato and we hardly ever go anywhere or do anything(including sex) unless I put up a fuss about it. He does have a great sense of humor and keeps me laughing, but I told him I need more!! I am very adventurous and sometimes even a thrill seeker, but he says I am crazy! I've been with him for almost two years, YAWN.....and I don't know why I stay, maybe for security reasons, because he does have a good job and provides very well. I am here in front of this computer most of the time anymore because I have lost my ambition, and I am really starting to get depressed....and wish I knew what to do.

According to your question you are looking to him for your entertainment. If your time is your own ; then nothing prevents you from getting away from the puter and out into the world and do things while he is at work. Go out with friends if he is resistant. You're not obligated to stay at home with him. Go take a class at the local college, join a local club, Volunteer, go to the gym etc...Just don't wait around until he feels like entertaining you before you get busy.

Your BF is in a rut. It may be job burnout and he just wants to sit and veg after work. But you are going to have to light a fire under that couch. Take charge, buy tickets to something and tell him we are going here at such and such time. Your option is to imagine him sitting on the couch in his underwear with an extra hundred pounds hanging out there.

GET a hobby like me. GO OUT with the girls by day. JOIN some ladies groups. VISIT the old ladies at the old folks home. AS far as the bf he sounds like an old man already.

Well, you seem like an ambitious lady; GO OUT AND HAVE FUN!!! If your man isnt given you any attention, go out and find it! Life is short and you have to make the best of it. Live it and have a damn good time doing it!

Don't you have a hobby or something that interests you? History, films, fiction, languages, travel, cooking, sports, philosophy, religion, volunteering, the outdoors, etc?
