Most books will say about 8 cups a day to keep your skin , hair, nails and digestion in good shape but if you work out a lot and are losing weight then you should have at least 12 cups a day. :)

I drink in about 4 - 5 days a 5 gallon bottle of water in less then a week.
See how much you can hold and increase it gradually it will take you quite awhile before you can drink a gallon a day.

8 glasses...64 oz a day. You can get water jugs at walmart that have the oz on there so its an easy way to keep track of how much you are drinking....
