Did you get a warranty? usually you have at least thirty days even without a warranty. Don't ask them to take it back, tell them you are bringing it back and not to run your bank papers. If they already have, they can call the bank to cancel the sale. (tell them nicely, don't go into this angry, just explain thee problem and the solution in a polite way and if they give you trouble ask for the person in charge and so on) If they try and refuse even if you reason with them ask them for the name, phone #, and fax # of the person your lawyer should contact, just that statement can work wonders but only use it as a last resort.

It is not supposed to damage your credit but make sure you get that in writing from the bank and the car dealer (make sure the bank knows it was the car dealers fault)

Then run a credit check on yourself in around a month and if it is on there take the papers to the bank and stay there while they remove it

Is this a new or used car? YOu should have a 30 day warranty on used cars, but I'm sure you signed something saying you accepted the vehicle "as is"-and I'm sure your financing has been processed in 21 days.
A reputable dealer will stand behind their cars and make a good faith effort to fix any problems, if they haven't occurred after you left the lot. You should contact them immediately.
Any time you return a car after signing a contract it will result in a repo, even if you voluntarily turn it in.

Go back to the dealer and you should have atleast a 30 day warrentee on it. Go now, Don't wait any longer. But, legelly you only have 3 days to return something of value that large.
