It is not cancer. It cannot cause cancer. It is something you bring on to yourself. We all do. A councelor can help you over come alot of stress. Cancer is another medical problem. If you have cancer them stress will worsen it.

I have read many books and surfed many sites about cancer, because of my having patients in my own family and among friends. I have also discussed with several doctors and attended seminars on Cancer, prevention, treatment etc. I have also answered and given proper solution for the problems of many questions on this subject through this forum.
I do not think stress in any way responsible or cause cancer. Bus - Yes. Psychological approach is required while treating the disease by other usual means viz. Surgery, Chemotherapy, Radiation therapy etc. Patients suffer a lot with side-effects of the treatments than the disease itself. Several patients have refused to carry on treatment or stopped midway due to this reason. The cancer patients and their family members get shattered if once the disease is detected. For them Physiological encouragement is very essential. This is the reasons the Psycho Oncologist have also become a part of treatment team.

I have never heard that stress has been called a "cause" of cancer (but then again, I'm not a doctor or researcher).
Stress, though, can contribute to many physical illnesses or worsen them. Extreme stess can affect a person's immune system as well.
There is such a thing as "physical stress", which would be, say, too much extreme exercise. That generally isn't the kind of stress that causes problems. Usually, stress is the stuff in a person's life or even things he's created in his own mind (worries, for example, or a particular level of demands on himself) that causes the body to respond in a certain way. This physical response to stress includes changes in brain chemicals, hormones, blood pressure, etc; so what started out as stress on someone's mind turns into stress that is a physical thing.
I'm not sure what your question about treatment for cancer is, but I wouldn't be able to answer any questions about that anyway. I do know, though, that one of the best things a cancer patient could do would be to try to find ways of calming down his worries or fears in order to try to reduce mental stress as much as possible. This may not be enough to help the person fight off cancer, but reducing mental stress is one thing a person can do to try to give his immune system the best possible chance to fight off disease.

Everyone has the cancer cells inside them from the day they are born. In some people it the cells develop/grow and become the illness, cancer, and in some others it does not. Lifestyle is very important but also is heredity. Stress can cause your various body cells to go wild but stress alone can not cause cancer, it can only assist among other things.

If stress alone caused cancer, there would not be any such thing as a Stockbroker who lives to have a son. Stress can help cause cancer to reproduce faster, but by itself, stress will not start the production of cancer. Becoming acidic will allow for cancer to find a place where it can start production, and staying acidic will allow that person to stay a host to cancer reproduction. By changing to a alkaline state, you can no longer host cancer. Dr. Warburg won a Nobel Prize for discovering that cancer can only reproduce in a acidic host, and if exposed to more than 8.0 PH level, the cancer cells will die. I have a friend treating his cancer with 8.5 PH water. He is 85, and finds no need to use chemo to weaken his good healthy cells. After he started to dink the alkaline water he went from being in a wheelchair to walking again, and now he is doing his Ty Chi again, volunteering with the suicide helpline phone bank 4pm to midnight on Wednesdays, and living life to the fullest again. Google Dr. Warburg Google 9.5 PH healthy water. I think it is difficult for a parent to let go of their children sometimes. They remember what they did when 16 or 17, and how they fell for a guy with a great sounding line, to do whatever with them. (Like you really think you mom was not a teenager?) Yes she went through the same high school pressures that you did. She is just trying to keep you from going through the same pitfalls that she or her friends went through. Ask her someday if she ever knew anyone who had an abortion - that should be a lively subject, but she will think that you or your close friend is pregnant. Yes she went through all the things that you are going through now. My sisters went through High School in 1980, and made a few mistakes, they are not proud of them today, but survived. Does she want her daughter to do the same stupid things? Of corse not. Does she? Well one niece of mine is, but the other is not, time will tell, she is younger. Your parents probably had a relationship or two that broke up in a bad way, and don't want you to experiance heartbreak, so they want you to get into a more wholesome relationship. Who knows, you might stay in the same relationship for the next 40 years? Unlikely, but it happens.

Yes excess stress can cause your body systems to go haywire and may lead to cancer (although miniscule chance)
Scientifically though no cancer has stress listed as a its cause

Stress causes all sorts of problems if not properly managed. Either avoid it, do something about what is causing it, or exercise like crazy to burn off the excess hormones that were released during the stressful event or they will bite you in the butt.
