First of all, control is an illusion.
You do not have control over anything.
Think back on your life and think about all the "surprises" that happened to you. Things like, you're saving for a new TV, but the car transmission suddenly needs repaired or how about you're watching the news and there is a story about a train derailment and 80 people are dead. If there were such a thing as control, I don't think those 80 people would have boarded the train or they would have simply choosen not to have it derail.
How about 9/11 or Katrina?
How about last years tsunami?
How about the repeated extinction/mass die off of past species due to enormous metorites?
Are we in control of ourselves?
Are you kidding?
If we were, why would we choose to kill and be killed at every turn?

Humans may be in control of ourselves, we do have free will. We are definately not in control of the world. The Tsunami in the Indian ocean, Hurricane Katrina and all the natural disasters globally prove that. There is a higher power, call it God, call it Allah, call it Mother Nature, call it what you will. There is definately something bigger than we.

humans control only themselves and that around them.. it would be arrogant to think we had the power to control the world. we may influence - but not control.
