Very insightful question.
Sex is not just a physical act, but a spiritual act as well. We
are helping our Creator to create LIFE!
That is why many fall in love with their first sexual partner.
Because they tap into the spiritual dimension of sex. If they
aren't truly loved. They will later attempt to find that spiritual
level in another way.
Pain creates spiritual energies. That is why many do
painful rituals in their faith. But this is an "artificial" way to experience ones spirituality.
Many go to more and more sadistic and masochistic ways to
get that feeling again. But never get it, because the abberated
sexual experiences only create negative energies.
Ever hear older couples say sex gets better with age. There
is no substitue for LOVE.

Completely separate.
The pleasure I derive from busting somebody in the nose when they irritate me is a different species entirely to the pleasure I derive from mating.
I find both equal in terms of intensity.
But they come from different places, and they have different objectives.
And for the record, I have never derived pleasure from experiencing pain, only from causing it in others.

The body somewhat has only one worry-free reaction to something, and we come to a decision what it will be in accordance to our environment. We get that short and quick respiratory, pounding coronary heart and sweating, and the shakes from the adrenaline. If we are contained in the presence of a warm lady, it must be sex. If we are contained in the presence of a truck coming our way, it must be worry. If someone only ticked us off, it must be anger. Our emotional reactions are all in our heads and are, ultimately, our selection to make. it truly is the reason human beings can "get off" on exciting activities or blend sex with violence, consisting of with handcuffs and paddles.

I think that the lack of sex can lead to violence.
really now when have you seen a violent person that gets to have sex all of the time..??? i think that the sex kind of tones down the violent urges in all but the most bloodthirsty of people.

There are many emotions that are ineterconnected, fortunately I do not base my experiences/decisions on emotion--they can sometimes be false.
