I would love to open a little shop where I can make 100% steak burgers and also vegetarian burgers as I dont know of any where that does this kind of thing, in UK all we have is Mc Donald's and burger king and there burgers are about 5% beef 95% god knows!

would you stop and buy a burger form me and if so how much would you be willing to pay?? remember ill be making them from steak and that on its own is quite expensive, also the veggie burgers will be made from 5 types of veg and potato covered in bread crumbs..... also i have to cover cost's etc

I suggest you contact the Businesslink in your area. They will give you invaluable advice about this and other important matters. Remember you have a lot more to consider than just the price of the burgers. You will need to do some sort of a market research to see if your business will take off. You will also have to learn all about health and safety.

Im a veggie but wouldnt buy burgers made out of veg, as they taste discusting. However, if you sold Linda M burgers or Quorn burgers with some melted cheese, dash of fried onion and tom sauce I would. Just cos I dont eat meat, I still want the taste of a burger and I have served Quorn ones cooked on the bbq to meat eaters and they liked them too! I would pay 1.50-1.75 for that.

you should first find out what oyu need to charge to make a profit

Macdonalds are 100% beef, so they say on theri advertising

But, you can market your burgers as organic, or free range, this area is growing massively, just go to any super makrket and see how much free range and organic stuff they are stocking

With fast food, positioning is key, you need to be somewhere that people pass, and rememeber, they arent going to pay too much, after all they can go to macdonalds, which is cheap

good luck

Jamie

No, I would not trust any fastfood place to provide a completely contaminant-free veggie burger.
