Someone who spells this atrociously should not be concerning him/herself with a middle name for a dog---just stick to picking, and spelling correctly, a first name.

Daschund is the name of the breed.

I just asked my dog what Charlie might like best and 'Major' Maarkett Patterson (My Dog) said..... "rrrrrr woof ... woof".
So maybe .... Charlie Woof or Charlie Wooffer .... might be a fair name for him.

I think you are a good person at thinking of names and it is important that you like the name to.

Charlie Brandt ... Charlie Zappo ... Charlie Dooog ... They all seems to fit. (Smile)

Unfortunately for me, we have a pure bred, and because we do, the middle name is already taken care of. he has the breeders name, another name to identify the year that he was born and what litter, and THEN his 'call' name..I have NEVER had reason to use any of his other names.. one name for a dog should suffice.. the rest? a dog is a member of the family, but definately not your child... my children have middle names... but my pets? none of them do.....

herkimer.... strong, long, and low to the ground, just like a dachsund.... Charlie Herkimer...(maybe even herk for short?)... It stands out in a field of average middle names... The other boy dogs would be jealous and the dogettes will think it's very "manly".... Trust me, Herkimer is the middle name your Dachsund should have, and he will thank you for listening to me. :-)

you are trying to give your dog a middle name? Oh my you are a bit of an odd duck are'nt you ? I work in a vet clinic and there are alot of older folks who do this . I just think maybe they are making these dogs /cats replacements for their children. Seems odd to me thats all i am saying.

Since your dog Charley is a miniture , and I think all miniture dogs are cute, I would think of naming him "Charley Cute."

So, I would choose "Cute" as his middle name.
