I've seen hindus honour christ with tumeric "tikkas" on his photo just like they worship other deities....I've seen them visit sikh gurudwaras and muslim sufi shrines with equal respect.
Why do the churches and mosques create a notion of otherness which creates division amongst people? That they will go to heaven only if they accept a name or that they are infidels if not of their faith. Why not give all things the sanctity and respect they deserve? Is hinduism (How it is practised) not way of life for peace between people? Is that not true spiritualism, respecting the high ideals of all peoples? How can we expect universal brotherhood if we keep condeming everything about the culture of another country/society instead of celebrating it with them?

dear suresh
churches and mosques do not create such a notion, paritcularly anyone can walk into a church and attend service and pray alone also.in mosques it is not possible to a great extent according to what i have seen.

i have seen a score of hindus who do not even want to glance at a church or mosque or even have friends among other religions.

the bottom line is anyone has the right to be staunch in his beliefs but they should also respect others beliefs even if they dont agree with it.

In judaism and christianity, we are to follow the 10 commandments, and its quite clear that we are to have no graven images or other "gods". Hinduism is all about graven images and multiple "gods". I have a deep respect for their faith, but I would not follow it. The thing about hinduism is that they don't go around trying to force their faith or kill those who believe differently, which makes it a lot easier to respect them.

We should all respect each others beliefs. But can all "religions" be correct? No. So the job of the evangelist is to offer the truth. Let the people know all sides of the argument and let them decide.

Suresh you are doing the same thing what they are doing. in you question you looked soft then in your details you indirectly want ppl to follow hinduism? how different are you then?. Even if i understand your message the other way why do you blame some one else faith, Come on man, let every one have their induvidual faith but let us live secular and not just fight in the name of GOD or Relegion.

There is One truth

Jesus said: I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father, but through me.

For there is no other name under Heaven, given amongst men whereby we must be saved.

Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the only way. Just as many other religions believe their religion is the right one. *I* believe that. I have that right. I respect other religions 100%. But I still believe that. And have every right to.

Christ to Humanity
"I am The Door"
It is by and through me that you shall be saved ,through faith, and not works,
But faith with out works is nothing.
