Your's can be treated like any other addiction, i.e. alcoholism, eating disorders, compulsive gambling, etc. Behavior modification techniques (i.e. rewarding yourself for abstaining), support groups (i.e. AA), and therapy. Find out what works for you. Addictions are difficult to treat and overcome alone, so get support.
