There is such a thing as a 3rd cousin... but it's usually called a second cousin once removed...
Your aunts children would be your cousins and their children would be your second cousins, and then *their* children would be your third cousins (or second cousin once removed)
hope that helps!

3rd cousins is say your mom has a brother or sister and they have a child he or she's your 1st cousin, And if your cousin kids have kids they will be your second cousin and when the second cousins have kids that would make them your third cousin, after the third cousins I don't claim them to confusing.

my cousin's grandkids and my grandkids will be third cousins. My cousins grandkids to me would be my 1st cousins, twice removed. My cousins kids and my kids are second cousins. My cousins kids to me would be 1st cousin once removed. My cousins grandkid to my kid would be 2nd cousins once removed. Get it?
FYI, there is a difference between removals and rankings as cousins. If both are from the same generation relative to a common ancestor (i.e, both grandkids of Bob), they are ranked (e.g., second cousins). If one person is from one generation and one is from another, they are removed. The people above me seem to have that confused.
