I've been pie-eyed but never eye-pied.
If one eye is in a pie then you would be crying with the other eye. Crying with one eye is sort of like clapping with one hand, very Zen.

Well, there'd be at least some shedding of tears by reflex when your (open, I assume?) eye met the crust and then the filling, wouldn't there? You didn't say what kind of pie, so I can't really give a fully informed answer.
