If you strive for perfection you will always fall short.

"perfect" is a rather meaningless word. It requires a rather well defined model to have any meaning. This is possible in mathematics, such as a perfect circle. However, there really is no model for perfect people. Are you more perfect if you're 5' tall or 6' tall? Who decides?

It's better to just realize that you are yourself with all your faults and features. Just strive to live your own life well and allow others to live theirs. Find your own purpose in life.

I strive for perfection every day of my life. I know full well it is un-achievable but it doesn't hurt to keep trying. This is what the teaching of the Bible are all about. God knows full well we cannot be perfect but He wants us to try.

i strive to be perfectly imperfect
perfection is relative ... what one percieves as perfect will not be the same for the next
so what is perfection then ?

so i strive to be ME to the best of my ability ... a wonderfully unique and beautiful person

Yes!

That's what makes all the difference between people... if you tried to be perfect, you could end up with one of two results: 1. you become perfect, job done!!.... 2. you don't really become thaaat perfect, but you'll definitely be much better off than those who did not even bother...

one can always strive for perfection however the odds are there will be none of us who will reach this goal. all we can do is the best we can and be happy in this achievement.

We will never be perfect as we think of it -- no mistakes or screw ups. A curse of human nature. My pastor said once that perfect in Christ means to be complete in Him. We are supposed to read the words of Christ and understand them in context, and do them. This is hard in itself, but as you mature in the faith, you can overcome one issue at a time. So what I do is I work on the thing in my life to overcome that is the least like Christianity and would be the most offensive to Christ.

Salvation doesn't come from becoming perfect. But from
accepting our imperfections. Forgiveness is the key to
releasing all the karma, and freeing onesself from this world.
But first, we must learn to forgive ourselves for being human.
Only then can one truly learn to forgive others.
