As I said before, the claims in that link you added are completely false. There is no way a single ID chip can alter human thought patterns or even monitor them. This sort of information abuse just plays on the mis-informed and rallys them for support.

Get your facts right, it's an ID chip. Like a pet ID chip. It does nothing apart from store a few bits of information, it doesn't interact with the body in ANY way.

ok, watching this video, first thing that comes to mind...

are people that stupid? "the very name of this company shows their attempt to create an all-seeing electronic surveilance system to compete with God"

... thats gotta be a joke.

wow, misrepresenting much? in fact this application is one of the most promising, and WONDERFUL ideas for gun safety to date. and another option to allow this exact same technology, without an invasive chip, would be to have the same functionality, but in a bracelet or ring, thus providing 90% of the safety benefits, with none of the invasiveness or religious paranoia of an actually implanted chip.
of course, the ultimate safety would be in having it exclusive to an implanted chip, then nobody could use the gun but the one with that chip,

I mean seriously people, get a flippin grip. a fragile chip implanted under your skin, that would allow 1000% more gun safety, care-free, vastly safer(effectivley un-steal-able) identification, credit/check card use(without serious risk of theft) vastly more reliable identity specific acess areas (like for secure work environments...) never forgetting your id, credit card, log in card, whatever...

and I don't imagine this thing would be durable enough to be able to withstand, say, slamming the back of your hand against a brick wall. yeah, it'd hurt, but if for some reason you wanted to make it non-functional... you could almost certainly do it.

personally... would I want to make sure I could make it non-functional at a moment's notice? yes. would I go for it assuming that provision was made, and it would actually be widely useful? definitely.
