That's a great question. I was always taught "don't make it happen, wait on the Lord". However, I think now that i'm older if you do that, nothing will ever happen. I would say yes, push to make things happen.

If you cannot help them happen in any way, just let them be... sit back and relax and wait for developments...
But if you had the slightest chance at pushing things to happen (not faster, but just to make them happen) then you should definitely do it... don't expect God, fate, nature, or whatever it is you believe in to make things happen for you...

Depends how much you want it. When I have a gaol, I make sure that everyday in a big or small way I work towards that gaol. It could be making a phone call or research, but everyday I do something towards that goal until it is achieved.

It depends.
If you need to do something fast and urgently then do it.
Work for this life as if you will live forever but work for your Hereafter as if you will die tomorrow.
Why? because death can come at any time and it is urgent to be prepared.
