No unfortunately it is not possible. You love dogs and pets as they are worth loving. Sometime we really feels if we could exchange thoughts or communicate with them. If you try you can see that dogs expresses themselves with many actions and there is this limit God has given to them.

No need - you can just buy a BowLingual for under £100. Wikipedia suggest that it translates barks from dozens of different pure and mixed breeds of dogs It is based on the animal emotion work of Dr. Matsumi Suzuki's Animal Emotion Analysis System and developed at the Japan Acoustic Laboratory. It translates 200 phrases (grouped into six different moods), reflecting the "meaning" of the dog's bark. The device was apparently successful enough in Japan to be brought to the American market. It was named one of 2002's best inventions by Time Magazine.

Unfortunately reports on BowLingual's accuracy are mixed. However, it is cheaper and kinder than experimenting on Rover.

Hope you find a solution to your dog communication difficulties.

No, the main reason you can't have a talking dog is that it takes a lot more than just human vocal cords! Lips, different shaped mouth, and the intelligence to learn and articulate a vocabulary! Otherwise I am sure it would already have been done!!

Cheers

Dogs already have vocal cords, how do you think they can bark, growl, whine, etc.? That is their way of communicating and if you are close to your dog you can tell what they want or need. Considering a dog doesn't have a human brain, although they are smart, they could not converse.

The problem would be that once the dog could talk, its master could only bark as surely the procedure would just be a straight-forward swap. We would then have to have talking dogs for the vocally-impaired.

I guess it could be possible. From the sound of that question, someone must have removed a brain from a dog and put it in you.

no. cause even if you transfer yours to his and his to yours, its not what your vocal chord fuctions that makes you talk. its the brain. so even if you do so, you might have a change in your voice but no change in the way you talk. you'l still continue talking your language and the dog will still be barking. so why waste money? why waste TIME????? don't do that in your life silly! its just simple science.

First of all, that is absurd on so many levels... and one of the reasons the dog is man's best friend is he DOESN'T talk back!...He is a great listener!
