I had a silly but interesting spiritual experience, here's the story:

I was on a business trip in NYC and was due to go home. The winds were so high that many flights had cancelled; unfortunately mine was one of them. I slogged off to yet another hotel to wait it out. When I got to the hotel I was informed that before I could go home I was being sent the next morning to Switzerland. I had only packed for a 2 day trip and now it was being extended to a 7 day trip. I could handle just having a few outfits but I definitely needed more toiletries, mainly hair conditioner (my hair is very unmanageable without conditioner) and the hotel had none. The weather was horrible and it was night time. There was no gift shop or store in the hotel and the closest grocery store was many blocks away in a not so nice neighborhood. Many times during the night I woke up thinking, what am I going to do about my hair? I can't wait to get to Switzerland to wash it, ick! It sounds silly but I was really stressing about not having my hair conditioner. Early the next morning I got up to take a shower to get ready to hike up to the store, it was really windy and freezing cold outside. I was dreading it especially since I didn't have a coat. As I got into the shower I noticed that the bathroom was very hot so I opened the small window that was next to the shower. Believe it or not, when I opened the window there was a little bottle of hair conditioner sitting on the ledge just outside. I was on the 3rd floor and there was no way possible that someone could get up to my window. I will never know if it was an angel, a spirit or just dumb luck but it taught me a lesson, "don't sweat the small stuff!” It was a great "ah-ha" moment! I still have that little bottle of hair conditioner and every time I see it I thank an angel.

I have had a few experiances that have made me sure of a spiritual life. My Nan was fox mad, her house was covered in fox paintings and figures. Very soon after my Nan died my whole family would see foxes at all times of the day, it seemed as though she was sending us a message. I would also have a butterfly fly close to me whenever I was sad and thinking about her, 4 years later this still happend all year round, I like to think it is my Nan cheering me up. I went to a psycic/clairvoient person about a year after she died, most of what the psycic had to say could have easily been guess work and did not always hit fact but something she said towards the end shocked me, she told me my Nan was in the room and was holding out a flower for me, a thorn free rose for love and an iris, this is my favourite flower and my Nan only would know this. This year I moved to a new flat and was making the bed in the guest room, I was using an single bed set of my Nan's that she had given me when I left for Uni, I had not used it in years. As I made the bed the room lit up and I felt an urge to close my eyes. I then felt my Nan sit next to me and hold my hand. I didnt want to open my eyes again as the feeling was so happy and peaceful. I don't know how long it lasted for but it has proved to me that spiritual life does really exist.

I was fortunate to have had a Grandmother who had a wonderful connection to a God she understood. She didn't have to preach about it, she was able to live as an example of what she believed. She passed that on to me as a child.
Some people might consider that an example of true Christian values, since Jesus Christ taught that it was what a person did, not what a person said that mattered most. My Grandmother was a woman of dignity & honor, who was happy and more often than not, content, although she never got rich or famous.
I see similar personality traits in many of the people that are generally considered to be "enlightened" today, some examples are Mother Theresa, the Dali Lama, Mahatma Ghandi, Pope John Paul II. To me, these folks are/were "spiritual" people who live/lived their lives according to spiritual principals. Universally, it seems to me, people generally admire and aspire to the examples of such "enlightened" persons. These individuals seem to possess something people want. Perhaps it is a balance and a serenity that allows them to overcome great obstacles and adversity and still achieve great things for Humanity.

I believe that I too need to have a balance and desire a serenity that helps me overcome the adversities and obstacles in my life on a daily basis. I also believe that I need to maintain and continue to build a personal spiritual connection to the Universe to be able to maintain that balance and serenity I so greatly desire. When I am in balance and serene the synchronicity of events in my life are positive and sometime eerily connected.

Life is short, I don't have time to make all of life's mistakes myself, so therefore I try hard to remain open-minded and always willing to learn. For me, having a spiritual life is essential to my peace and happiness.

I lost my Dad when I was 16. and over the years I have had numerous experiences of his visits. . .Once when I gave birth to my daughter, I had just been released from the hospital and when I walked in the front door I got the overpowering scent of his aftershave. (There was none in the house since his death) I felt that he came to visit his new grandchild. Also I once went to visit a Medium and she was able to tell me about things only I knew and about little things I used to do with my Dad, certain parks we visited or a movie we saw together or something about a special day together. Now I know that the people we love never really leave us.

People are entitled to believe what they want, but my prayers have always been answered and thats good enough for me.

i think what makes me belive in spiritual life is hope. i hope and pray for something better than what we have to live with/in now. Believing that there is something more powerful than us is a comfort as all the bad stuff in life seems to happen regardless of what you do, something bad will always happen, so to believe that there is a higher spirit, makes you feel safe. thats how i feel anyway. and i think people who have not had a "hard" life, may not be as spiritual as the next person who has had a "hard" life.

My brother died in 1999. After he died I with his widow made the asrrangements and I got half of his ashes. His widow kept the other half. Well my kid was in her room one night and all of a sudden she came running out crying saying that my brother her uncle just told her not to worry that everything would be OK. She told me that he told her this on the computer. I kind of laughed it off telling her she was crazy. BUT after thinking about this I do remember hearing a distint noise coming from her room. I have heard this noise before when signing onto the internet. (former AOL user) Well if may sound stupid BUT her computer was not hooked up to the internet at all. So after thinking about it, well it kind of made sense.
I also had an uncle that died. I bought his home from his widow. (same house as above) From time to time the light would flicker on and off. I even went as far as hiring an electrician to check out the wiring to make sure the house would not burn down from an electrical shortage. There was no problem with the wiring or anything else. After his widow hooked up with another guy and moved out of the house there were no more problems.
In regards to the above two, are there were there spirits or ghosts. I do believe that there is an afterlife. Once the person is comfortable with what was troubling him/her then they will move on in their afterlife. But as long as there is / are some issues going on they can not move on so to speak.

I believe that ghosts exist if that classes and an appropriate answer.

I've been in my room and have heard the noise of someone walking up the stairs and into my room towards me. And I've been in bed not even asleep and the bed has been shook or some thing's pressed down on my covers.

I was in a coma for a period of time and I know for a fact that God exist. Not because He saved my life but what I experienced when I was in the coma. I actually saw the light of God. The brilliant light only He could emulate. Not only that, He has answered so many of my prayers since my acceptance of Jesus I can't count them all.
