The holy month of Ramadan is upon us again...... and i was shocked to see something in the news. As a response to the current pope's words.... I saw that Muslims in Palestine burnt down a Greek orthodox church. As a Muslim i find this incredibly offensive, and even more reprehensible that it occured on 1 Ramadan. An article on islamicity.com really spoke to me. i think Ramadan is a wonderful time for Muslims to attempt to teach their brothers and sisters what they know as the true Islam that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught. I would definitely recommend the posted article. The author is much more educated and articulate than myself.

rd_sd.... I cover from head to toe and it is the most freeing beautiful part of my life. When i cover my body and my hair all that is left to be seen if my personality. When a man speaks to me he speaks to me he speaks only to my personality and beauty of spirit.... i'm not seen as a sex object and i thank God everyday for the hijab.
ps for every 1 man that converts to islam 4 women convert

you're right sister.
as despicable the words of the pope were, it was shameful how the Muslims conducted themselves, by burning down churches. really shameful of them and they will answer to Allah for their misdeeds.
time to rebuild trust on both sides. violence gets no one no where

If this is true it really is wrong, also if it is true we should look at the circumstances leading up to this incident and if Muslims were provoked or murdered leading up to this then it is still unacceptable in Islam but the oppressed's actions couls be understood

try to understand this , you can ask people to read articles or whatever but a 'mob' never has brains , it doesnt know what is right or wrong , because the mob doesn't think about its actions individuals do. I am not justifying their I am just stating the truth.

WELL ATLEAST THERE ARE 2 MUSLIMS WHO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RIGHT AND WRONG.

ummm
i disagree with destroying churches in islamic country
but may be their anger lead them to that
it's bad thing
and against islmic roles
some times
it happend here in egypt but
they are few ppl doing these things
and some times they are out of mind

That's really sad. Violence breeds violence. Now in retaliation for this more bad stuff will happen. There is no excuse for burning down any religious building.
