You have my sympathy - my last dog used to do the same horrible high-pitched barking in the car everywhere we went. We tried to go on holiday with him as a family and we all just ended up really stressed and yelling at each other!
It took a long time but he did get better. He got really wound up and over-excited in the car, so we used to put him in the car for an afternoon sleep then bring him back into the house without going anywhere. He started getting a bit more used to it and realised getting into the car didn't necessarily mean an exciting trip somewhere. Also try putting her in the car well before you want to go out - that might give her a bit of time to calm down before you get in and start driving. If all else fails I recommend earplugs. Good luck!!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aNNa8
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

My chihuahua used to do the same thing so I started taking him on lots of car rides and when he'd bark I'd say "shhh, quiet" or "no barking." When he would be quiet I would praise him and give him a treat. You can sit in a parking lot and do this. It's worked wonders and he rarely barks now. Normally dogs bark in cars because they think they are defending their territory.

A well-trained dog makes everyone happy, including his owner. Take a little time training him, and you'll never regret it; you'll always have an obedient dog by your side. Find more https://tr.im/0U29A
By their nature, dogs are pack animals with a well-defined social order. Through basic training, you need to consistently make sure your puppy understands that you are the leader, not him. So in teaching him the basic rules, you take on the role of pack leader.
To fit into the family circle, your dog must be taught to recognize his name and such commands as come, heel, lie down and sit.

Your dog barks because it is trying to protect you from other people. When she stops barking, use hand signals, a treat, and a loud clear voice saying 'quiet' to your dog. Don't yell at her because she will think that your joining in with her and continue to bark.

take a jar of coins with you, and every time she barks shake it. she will learn that if she barks she's gonna hear this scary noise, and so she'll stop. i've done this and my dog is a great travel companion now.

Some dogs just don't like travelling. You could get somebody to sit next to her and see if that helps, if they comfort her she may calm down and eventually understand its ok to travel. If not you will have to accept that not all dogs like travelling. I would definitely not use a water pistol as this will distress her more.

She's over excited. Sounds like you need to take her more often. Why must you get in the car to go for a walk???
