Those sort of people couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery let alone their life if they have to constantly give themselves "danger" time (That's what it's called when you allow an excessive amount of time to avoid being late).

People don't set their clocks fast - they set their clocks ahead of time. You can't set a clock fast as all clocks (ones that work anyway) go at about the same speed. You can only set a clock so that it shows time that is ahead of what the time is.
I do it. It's a habit. It works best if different clocks about the house and at work all show different times, some further ahead than others.

I know a few people who do this, they set the clock 5 min ahead and for the life of me I don't get it. For me the correct time is what I need to get moving out the door.

Yep I do an identical undertaking with my alarm clock. I even have it set 10 minutes quickly. For some unusual reason it helps me get my butt in equipment interior the morning as i'm making waiting for artwork. i assume I pass slightly swifter if i think of i'm working 10 minutes at the back of rather of 10 minutes forward.

Nothing to do with stupidity and all about the mysterious workings of the human mind. Why, for instance, is £9.99 easier to accept than £10 when nothing you can buy costs a penny?

My boyfriend does this - and it really fools him. I haven't seen a clock that has told the correct time in months - I can't bear it!!
It has the opposite effect on me - then I'm often late...

I really have no idea, well i do of course, people really belive, that it will be of some use to them, its one of these tv learnt things, its why theres not 1 chav, theres 1 million, its why kids behave like violent animals... just the goood ol devil box filling the mind with cr**

If it's your alarm clock and you wake up half asleep you kinda get "tricked". Hey you were complaining you are always late...give it a try!!

my boyfriends always late for everything. so one day when we realy neaded to be some were i knew he would be late so i set his clock on his phone. we were on time for once.
