To janice kkk, ceasar kkk and rkalch (I know that you are not mis-informed like the other 2 snakes) - I did not mention party affiliation in my question (janice kkk/ceasar kkk read and think before you show your ignorance.

To janice kkk - I have forgotten more history than you will ever learn, miss thing. You are lying thru your butt, the majority of conservatives stayed that way.

To cesar kkk - I didn't say anything about party affiliation, you dumb a**.
Truman integrated the Armed Services.
Justice Black became a "so-called" liberal in his rulings.
You all lying about the lyching law. You parents/grandparents were probably KKK.
Blacks in their goodness, forgave George Wallace and later voted for him.

You're sorely misguided or just lying through your teeth. Senator Byrd, the democrat who ruled the senate for over 30 years is a democrat and a former Klansman. Democratic prez Truman appointed fellow democrat and kkk grand marshal, Justice Black to the supreme court. Bull Conner who let the dogs loose on civil right activists (and also hosed them off the streets) was a democrat as was George Wallace who declared from the court house steps "Segregation today! Segregation tomorrow and segregation forever!"
After the civil war, republicans tried to make lynchings a federal crime but their measure was defeated by the democratic majority of the time.

If you weren't just blathering bullsh*t and actually knew anything about the two parties history you would know that the republicans were the first and most faith full friends of minorities in this country.

Vilify us until you're blue in the face, you still will not win the presidency again. In 20 years your party will be no more.

"...Did you not know that previous generations of the segregationist south were very staunchly democrat..."

The aboves statement is true, but the part she left out one important historical fact - after World War II the national Democratic Party began to embrace civil rights, alienating racist southern whites. These pissed southern democrats joined the Republican part in droves during the late 60's and early 70's.

Another aspect she forgot to mention was in the late 70's thru the 90's, the south has boomed and southern cities have added millions of suburban residents; mostly middle class 'educated' workers that naturally tilted to the Republicans' fiscal conservatism, which promised tax cuts and smaller government programs.

Actually you have that wrong. Today's liberals are yesterday's segregationists. Did you not know that previous generations of the segregationist south were very staunchly democrat. One of your fine senators was a leader in the KKK. You should take the time to do a little research.

Thats my fear.. being conservative in the future, for example i believe that anybody should look like they want to and i admire my parents for letting me do stuff at my hair or style! i'm sure that for my dad, who grew up in a village, letting me have dreadlocks 10yrs ago will be like me letting my child have a lizard cut on the tongue (considering the way piercing and xtreme look evolves).
The question is, will i let my kid have a lizard cut on it's tongue?
