There is Halo 2 and if you already have that, there is Unreal Championship for PC and Xbox, there is also Star Wars:Jedi Outcast II that is a great muliplayer shooter and you can put in some computers to fight with. So if you dont have anyone that wants to play it with you, you can play with the computers (you will get really good to where no one will want to play it with you.)

Unreal Tournament 2004. or 2K7 for the next-gen consoles. Also, SOCOM III is another great multiplayer game. Check out Call of Duty as well.
