didn't charge i pod for about 1-1/2 weeks. battery died, charged
it for about 10 hours, still says do not dis connect, will not turn
on or shut off. what do i do?? i pod is only 9 months old.

That's happened to me before.

Have you set it up for disk use recently? If so, you need to manually remove it first on iTunes. You can't just connect and disconnect it at will like before.

Turn on iTunes and look at the left column. You'll see your iPod listed there. There should be a eject symbol there. Click on it and your iPod will be disconnected and you won't see the "do not disconnect" symbol on your iPod anymore.

But if you've already disconnected it and the screen still shows that, you'll need to reset it.

To reset it. Slide the hold button on and then off again. Press the center and menu buttons at the same time and hold until you see the apple symbol on the screen.

did you try reseting it? look in the manual for help. If that fails, ring apple technical support. they wont charge you for the call if its under warrenty.
