Well done.
I have found mine too.
Just feels like winning the lottery - only better.

you are absolutely right. I use to say what am i suppose to do with this gift of life and I thought that being a mother and being so involved in my daughters lives and my grands was just being lazy like I needed to succeed in the outside world to feel full filled but now that the girls are grown and the grands are so loving of their grandmother and we all respect and love each other I realize that raising them the way i have was far more valuable than me making a impression in the working world. they are such good and contributing people to the world and I am very happy today with my role as mother and grandmother.

I experienced my calling of life the moment I gave birth to my son. I am here to be an excellent mother and rolemodel for him. This has made me realize just how important it is to pursue my dream to become a doctor and live a humble, good life so the love of my life can grow up and do the same (live a good, humble life that is).

I think I have found the calling of my life more than once but I have not been able to realize it into something practical. What would you call this. Was this a calling? Or was it a false opportunity? I would like to know if one have to wait in anticipation for this? What if I am not ready for this?

Yes, I do found my calling. Although I am fully aware that GOD's calling me to become a nun, I talked with GOD that I could do HIS Mission even though I'm not in a convent. So, here I am, single, and doing my best to make the mission impossible possible. And into THY hands I commend my spirit and I am sure HE will help me fulfill my mission in life...... to go on Medical Mission. Lord, give me more strength to carry on to be of service to the poor.

I don't think I have. I doubt it that I have a calling at all. What I strive for is to become a better person so I can make myself and others happier, if that can be considered a kind of calling. By the way, what is your calling, if I'm not indiscreet?

I'm happy for you. Still looking for mine, and happy in the process. I am blessed with a supportive husband (financially and emotionally -for the most part), so I am free to look for mine at a leisurely pace.

Yes. I began doing hospice nursing about 7 years ago. It is one the most rewarding thing I've even done (the MOST rewarding is being a mom). I actually enjoy going to work ... and they even give me a paycheck to do this!
