It's NOT 1/2 x 4 -- it's 1/2 x 1/4 which equals 1/8

1/2 x 1/4 ?? just times the top and the bottom to give 1/8!! easy!!!!!!!!!!
btw it CANT be 2 as half of something cannot make the number any bigger!! has to be twice as small as 1/4!!
proof that 1/4 is (2x1/8):
1/8 + 1/8 = 2/8 = 1/4
