& why is it always blue ?

In men it is because the hairs on the chest and belly direct bits of hair and other matter downwards. The belly button is a natural depository due to its shape.

If you are larger than the average person and wear tight fitting clothes and sweat a bit, then it will rub off of your clothes!

LOL, its from our clothes. Its a crevus where things get caught. It isnt always blue with everyone..lol.....you must wear alot of blue.

well, if you are like me, you get it because the lint migrates magnetically, like a flock of geese, to the belly button
