The sun is about 1/2 degree wide. Since it moves across the sky at a rate of 360/24 = 15 degrees/hr,

t = (0.5/15) * 60 = 2 minutes

SAN is correct, but the Sun does not always set straight down like it does at the equator; it can take longer at higher latitudes. For example, at the north pole it takes many hours to set because it is moving almost parallel to the horizon.
