Absolutely! Animals have the same response to elevation change and some climate changes that humans do. An animal from a sealevel location will be out of breath at a high elevation just like you would. Also, light variations affect animals too. If your dog/cat stays in a place that has a light on 24 hours a day then then the animal will start shedding even if it is winter time. If the animal is in dark for a lot of time it will start growing a thick coat even if it is hot. This is why it is important to maintain a good environment for your animal.

Humans are the most adaptable species on Earth. We have spread to all areas of the globe unlike ANY other macroscopic species. We even beat most microscopic species. So if there is any species to be most hardly affected by climate change then it definately wont be us. Animals who live in colder areas will suffer the most from Global Warming, being forced higher and higher up to the cooler altitudes of mountains until they are forced off the top. I suppose with this loss of biodiversity then the whole planet will be affected, but humans will not be forced to extinction like others so. No, we are not affected as much as some animals, also probably more than others due to our tendency to spread out even into inhospitable environments.

In the end, all us Earth creatures are in it together and what affects one will have a chain reaction on other species.

Yes climate does affect animals too. That's why the polar bear has a thick fur to keep it warm while the elephant or the cow, found more in tropical zones, has a smooth skin without much hair which could otherwise block the sweat glands

Obviously my dear. You need to know that humans are also animals. The activities made by the mankind is making difficult to the other species to survive on this vast earth. Atlast man would be the sufferer if we won't stop the stupid activities such as deforestation, pollution making etc...

yes, this is why we are seeing Manatees off the coast of new England, and why several Coral reefs around the world are dying back, and why prime fishing areas in many oceans are not producing as they could in the past.
