My Bennie is 3 and half weeks, his feeding pattern changes regurlarly. I have a fast let-down, he sometimes feeds for 40 min and most often only 12 min or sometimes less. Sometimes he feeds every 2 hours and often every half hour. This changes constantly.

For the 1st few days my son only ate every 5 or 6 hours - by week 1 he was feeding for 40 minutes every hour and a half, then in settled into every 2 hours, then 3 hours, now, @ 4months, he'll feed every 4 hours - babies change constantly depending on their needs - they know how much they need. I express bottle feed - so it's easy to see how much he feeds - less in the morning, then more and more throughout the day.

I have 3 kids and at this age there is no pattern or routine. It can take months for your baby to establish a routine. Don't worry, just go with the flow for now, soon you will see a more predictable pattern emerging.

At this age it is very common for babies to feed constantly, don't worry about it too much and it will all settle down in time!!!!

At this early stage, since the baby's a boy, well, expect him to eat a lot. If he pee, that means after a while he needs milk.
