I havent, but my husband did and he loved it. He is always talking about the fights he got into bouncing. If you are a fighter, then it is definately a good job. I think bouncers get paid pretty well in most areas. Bars and restaurants that employ bouncers usually tip-out the bouncers (the servers/bartenders split tip with them) so this adds some to the salary. Upscale places usually has less excitement but more pay. It all depends on what you are looking for. Stay away from clubs--bouncing jobs here are usually too much of a hassle for the pay. Plus it can be dangerous to have that many people to have to control.

yes sometimes the money can be good if you go private.there will always be people that will take the bouncer down just for bragging rights so you must be ready. a good fighter isn't always a good bouncer 9/10 times you have to be strict but diplomatic the other 1/10 times you got to kick *** very good

my step son worked as a bouncer and it isn't a fun job. My son is 6'6' tall and weighs 267 lbs. He can smash a wall with one blow. He has been in several scraps where the rowdies ganged up on him and he has a hellava time fighting them off. He was hurt several times. Broken nose, chopped up ear. I do not recommend the job.

I mean Saturday night went out for a quiet drink with friends i had my passport and they wouldn't let me in even though i have been 18 since April... I was like seriously... This is complete bollocks!! I was like i bet there are hundreds of 16-17yr olds
"he said we dont let those in" i was like ha your wrong... i KNEW there were underage people in there.
ALSO they always fight i have seen people get beaten down by them for no reason and they ALWAYS have the security cameras off!!
They are also really pervy and only want one thing!!
Dont do it! Save yourself now!

None of them seem to stay in the job very long, do they,, so it can't be that brilliant. Probably just sounds good, when you say "I'm a bouncer". Well whoopee do

I worked as a 'doorman' at a place in Southsea to 'dissuade' naval personnel from using a particular pub.
Money was great.
I could only take so long of saying, "Good evening", and holding doors open for customers who couldn't care about you, for so long. Might suit some folk though.

It is well paid (my boyfriend was one for a few years) but you'll need a licence which costs a bit and lasts for three years, you'll also need some first aid training and such. And it's rather dangerous, I guess it would be fun if you have the right attitude though.

Depends on where you work. Different clubs, concerts or events have different quality of people.
