Cause we made important. The things are just that: Things. But we put on them a "personal value" i keep even a write that the girl i love gave me in a scratchof paper from 10 years ago. Acording to the budish and some phylosiphies like that; not even "ours" dreams and ideas are "ours" dont belong to no one. The fact someone scare by see a spider is not for the spider is for he/she that belives is scary.
The comunication, in some college, carrers and even parents tell us that we are "succesfull" in the mesure of money and properties but isnt right. The money is how the system of the society works not "our" soul, mind, hearth or even the body

Money itself is not important, its become the thing we barter with. Before coinage we would give something we had in exchange for something else, the more things, cattle, hand crafts, you had the (richer) you were, the higher your status! Today how you live reflects your status, that's why we all want more money to buy more things, and have a better life, so I'm doing the lottery this weekend.

Money is an important part of our lives because we haven't evolved past finding it important, but as our spiritual consciousness awakens globally no doubt we will evolve past needing it. Hopefully that day will be soon.

because we could not live without it. When we become citizens of the universe and the galactic federation as in Star Trek money will be obsolete. Until then, we need it for our basic requirements to live, ie food heat shelter, so I guess we are stuck with it!!

Because it makes the world go around, where would we be without it,as it pays the rent, puts food on the table, buys us clothes to wear etc,but for some very fortunate people they get far too much of the stuff, while the rest of us struggle to make ends meet, even for the necessary things like our health care,i hope this has helped to answer your question

Money is important because it aids us in fulfilling our basic needs. (e.g. food, shelter, etc.). Our very lives depend on fulfilling these needs. In modern society money is simply a means to an end; a way to fulfill our basic needs. If money was removed from the equation we would seek alternative ways to meet our basic needs.

Money is only a means of exchange. None of us can do everything for ourselves any more. We can't eat, sleep, build our shelter, buy groceries do our own housework, grow our own food, reticulate our own water and electricity etc & etc. We need money for these things, and to pay for them.
