You, my dear, are one very fortunate young lady. Consider yourself blessed! My first child, my son Connor, was born in distress after 58 hours of HARD LABOR, contractions 1-2 minutes apart from beginning to end. Aftermath required 58 stitches and the only way I could sit down for the two weeks that followed relied heavily upon an inflatable donut. =?b. He was 8 lbs 7 oz. My daughter, Shannon, was induced, unfortunately, she took 56 hours of the same brutal contractions Connor graced me with. she was two weeks early (intentionally) and still weighed in at a respectable 7.5 lbs. ;)

Honest to God, I was in full labour (contractions less than 5 minutes apart) for 118 hours. FIVE FREAKIN DAYS. They kept sending me home, telling me to wait for me water to break, because the baby was face forward. Every time they hooked me up to that damn monitor, the contraction strength reading was over 150. It only got up to 170 in the end so they were full strength the whole time. My baby started sleeping through contractions it got that bad. When they FINALLY broke my water for me I was exhausted, I hadn't eaten or slept for 4 days and I wanted to kill someone. It took 8 and a half hours with contractions less than a minute apart after they broke the waters, four of those hours pushing.
My son is an only child.

I never went into labor with the first. He was way over due and they were going to induce but found out he was breech so they did a c-section. Never even felt a contraction. With the second I was in labor for 7 hours and getting fairly close when they said there were problems and went with an emergency c-section. I'm pregnant again and they aren't even going to let me try. I'm having a c-section.

ok, when I had my son I was 17. I didnt even know I WAS in labour. I was in hospital by 8:30am, and he was born 9:20am. Before i get asked how couldnt I know.. I had no pain! they were just like braxton hicks. So, I tallied it and reckon it was about.. 2 and a half.. MAX!
