It depends on what you said to them during the argument. I doubt you'll get any real answer without providing more information, because there's got to be more going on here than you're saying.

They say the truth comes out when your drunk . The question is do you know your friend??? Your friends habits change when she is drunk, is she a mean drunk is this like her to be cruel when she is sober. You have to make the conscious decision on weather or not this is out of character of her.
It could be that she is feeling angry or hurt by the engagement if she has not got to this point in her life she could be feeling left out or worried she will be put on the shelf as you end up going out with more married couples in the future.
For all of your friends to turn on you over what seems like a drunken argument is abit extreme. Try talking to them all individually to find out why they feel you should be taking criticism of this nature over a ring you obviously cherish. Maybe there is more going on than you realise.

The point is... Do you like the ring? If so then dont worry about what any1 else says. True mates would not have said anything to you, they would just be happy for you. Ignore the comments and get on with being happily engaged.

I think u had every right to say something to her. How dare she say that abt your engagement ring. She is prob just jealous of you and your happiness.
Why don't you ring your other friends and just act normal. If they are still funny with you then ask them why and prove your point. That is out of order her saying that...even if she meant it as a joke.
I hope your friends are ok with you...if not you don't need friends like that. Good Luck x

I'd be really upset aswell, but it is only a ring and you've got to decide if it's worth falling out with your friends over. As long as you like the ring it's got nothing to do with anybody else. Besides they're probably jealous anyway ;)

They were drunk. Sounds like you need to relax alittle. You know it is not something out of a lucky charms box so what's the big deal. Don't analyze something that was said amongst friends who were drunk and I am sure didn't mean it.

I don't think you where in the wrong what type a of Friend would say something like that. They must all be the same if they have took her side better of without them.
Congratulations on your engagement.

All your mates have turned on YOU?? I think you need to let them know what you were arguing about as it sounds to me like they dont know what she said.
It was a really catty thing for her to say in the first place - chances are shes only jealous coz you have a man anyway!!
