I would like a price range under 200 dollars.But I want a good pipe to smoke. I like briar and mershum and I know merschum is more expensive. Please advise.

It really depends on personal taste in my opinion your better of with a briar as they tend to last longer, as for buying a Meerschaum pipe they tend to be quite fragile and unless you buy one from Turkey where the best Meerschaum comes from (also very expensive) you will end up a cheap pressed Meerschaum pipe or African Meerschaum which is of inferior quality when compared to Turkish Meerschaum. The best brand in my opinion is Peterson or Black Star both of which have been in business for a long time and are well priced. Check out www.peterson.ie

You can get a good pipe for under $100. Check out http://www.pipesandcigars.com they have a large selection of pipes there. Stanwells are good for the price, as are Bjarnes, but take a look around and see what you like.
