I'd like to know their nature: Why did God make those commandments? Biblical text would help!

And their related crimes, or how can they be seen in today's society? What are the examples?

The fact he warns us not to have other Gods before him, says that there are other Gods. And elsewhere he says he is the only God.
Try to remember, the Bible has been written and re-written many times over the past few thousand years. Every interpretation is a little or a lot different than the previous. Man alters the Bible to fit their own knowledge and beliefs. When someone didnt like something, it got lost in translation.
God did not create man in his own image. Man created God in his image.
God is a 3 letter question and a 3 letter answser.
