I have a silicon plate under my eye from an orbital blowout. What will hapen if I get into ,martial arts or boxing and get punched in the face extremely hard?

my guess is it would hurt like hell... But if you want to do a sport where you have other people hit you in the face extremely hard you might actually enjoy it so just disregard my comments.... and whatever you do, don't hit ME!!!

As a physician, let me say that since you have sustained such an injury in the past and have had corrective surgery done that I think it is risky for you to go into competitive boxing.

If you get punched in the face real hard, there's always a chance of refracturing the previous site.

As always, since I don't know the circumstances of your case, I suggest you ask your ENT/Surgeon/Physician what their opinion is before you do anything.

what happened the first time u blew it out? it might be pretty much the same thing next time or worse so find another, less contact way to enjoy the rest of your life .

what do you think happens to a soft piece of plastic, if you punch on it?! Do you really want bumps in your face?????
